Trojan Football 2019 Season is ready to begin
Equipment sign out is Monday August 19 at 7 pm at the High School. Come to the West Gym doors.
Practice this week are Tues, Wed, and Thurs. Our first game is an exhibition game in Olds on Sep 7. The complete schedule is on the website. A reminder to parents and players that Practice begins at 5 pm which means warm-up is done and we are coaching right at 5 pm. The shack will be open at 4:15.
The Camrose Trojans football team are saddened to receive word about the death of Trojan alumni Dustin Palmerchuk. Dustin was an all star player for the CCHS Trojans on the Offensive and Defensive line. He will be sorely missed by our extended Football Family.
Dustin passed away in Edmonton on July 2, 2019 at the age of 26. A funeral service is scheduled for Tues, July 9 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Camrose at 1 pm.
Practice has moved inside the west gym tonight. Meet in the west gym at 4:40. Bring inside shoes.
As of right now the Jamboree is a go. The Air quality index is at 7 today and is supposed to go down to 4 tomorrow. There is no data on Saturday yet and we are at the mercy of the wind and mother Nature. If the winds bring the Air quality index up to 7 again then we will not be playing. I will announce on the website if that happens but for now assume we are a go.
Game times are as follows
9 – 10 Camrose vs Drumheller South Field
11 – 12 Camrose vs Bonneyville South Field
1:30 – 2:30 Camrose vs Drayton Valley North Field
There is potential for a 4th game if teams request it at 2:30. TBD
After the Jamboree we will do equipment turn in for all the players who don’t need equipment for camps or teams throughout the summer.
Jen Kohlman is arranging some healthy snacks for the players. If anyone wants to help her out then please get ahold of her (780) 226 – 8834.
Dawn Lawson has volunteered to be our arrival coordinator at the school for the visiting teams.

The Air Quality index is at 7 right now which means outdoor activities are not recommended. If it doesn’t go down then we will go with a no pads practice in the West gym. If it clears then we will go outside as planned.
